It's officially fall and that means it's time for sweater weather! Don't get me wrong, I love the ease of throwing on a maxi dress in the summertime, but there's just something about getting cozy in a sweater that makes me happy.

The beginning of September here was still pretty toasty, so wearing a sweater wasn't super practical. Instead, I channeled my love of sweaters into some fall home decor.

What You Need

• 2- Thrift Store Sweaters

• Glass Cylinder Vases

• Hot Glue Gun

• Scissors

• Accents (optional)

• Candles

First up, take a trip to your closet or a thrift store. I didn't have any old sweaters around the house, so I went to my local Goodwill and purchased two neutral colored sweaters. Keep a lookout for days where clothes are even cheaper to get the best deal! To make sure the sleeves were stretchy enough, I grabbed a vase there to test them out. 

Next, you'll need a couple of glass cylinder vases. I had a couple at home, but Goodwill and Dollar Tree are great places to purchase them for cheap. I chose three different height sizes to create a trio.

This needed to be a no sew project (that's one crafty talent that I just don't have mastered quite yet), so it's pretty darn simple. Measure and cut the sweater sleeve to fit your vase size. I cut them a little longer to ensure they fit right and trimmed down as needed.

Leave a little bit at the end and hot glue it to the bottom of the vase. With one, I just cut it more precise to line up with the bottom of the vase.

To style them, try folding over the tops or adding some fun accents. I used some Dollar Tree raffia and a leaf to add to one of the vases. For the holidays, I think I'll add some evergreen sprigs or berries! Finally, pop in real or or LED candles to get a cozy glow going!
