Who says Valentine’s Day celebrations are for couples only?! Made popular by the TV show Parks & Recreation, Galentine’s Day celebrations are now just as popular! I love any excuse to get together your gal pals and enjoy some time together.

For an easy Galentine’s day party, invite friends over for a simple wine night with a few snacks. To keep things festive, try making these easy DIY wine charms that make the perfect Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day party detail.

I first made wine charms for a New Year’s Eve party a few years ago. They are so simple to make yourself and can also double as a favor for your guests to take home.

What You Need

  • Mini Heart Ornaments

  • Alphabet Stickers

  • Jewelry Earring Hoops

Step 1: Select Mini Ornaments

Select mini heart ornaments or any other shape of your choosing! One of my favorite tips is to keep an eye out for mini Christmas ornaments on clearance this time of year that can be used for other holidays! I grabbed these at Michaels last year for 90% off. Having trouble finding something similar? Try these red and pink heart or all pink (also available in red) options from Amazon that are also linked at the bottom on the post.

Step 2: Add Words

Draw on inspiration from candy sweethearts or just think of fun & festive words. I grabbed a pack of alphabet stickers from Dollar Tree, but you can also find similar items at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or Walmart. You can see I went with words like “Love,” “Bestie,” and “Muah.”

Step 3: Add Hoops

The key supply to turn any ornament into a wine charm are the jewelry earring hoops! You can usually find these in silver or gold and all you do it un-hook them, pop them into the ornament hanger loop and you’ve got a wine charm! If you have a styrofoam type ornament with a string, I recommend cutting off the string and added your own screw eye.

And that’s it! You’ve got your own wine charms. For more Galentine’s Day party ideas and DIYs, check out this fun Besties, Bites, and Bubbly party from last year as well!
